“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list” pretty accurately reflects my approach to traveling.

Travel planning is a hobby for me and I love it when a plan starts to come together. Here are a few things I’m working on now for 2026 and 2027:

• Spain – The big trip will be an offseason jaunt over to Spain. We’ve previously been to Madrid and Seville so this trip we’ll focus on Barcelona and definitely spend a few days in San Sebastián for the pure pleasure of eating. Bilbao, Valencia, or maybe even into the south of France will round out this trip.
• Mexico – In the preliminary phases of planning out a possible trip to Mexico with family next winter. It has been a while since we’ve done beaches and margaritas as a way to shorten a prairie winter.
