“I haven’t been everywhere, but it’s on my list” pretty accurately reflects my approach to traveling.

Travel planning is a hobby for me and I love it when a plan starts to come together. Here are a few things I’m working on now for 2026:

• Calgary – A road trip to Calgary to celebrate our anniversary has become a bit of a tradition over the last few years. We have a few favourite restaurants and cocktail bars lined up and we’ll spend some time in the mountains on this trip too.
• Baseball trip 2026 – With my current aversion to travel south of our border, my quest to see a game in all of the major league stadiums is delayed somewhat indefinitely. That’s ok, because major league baseball in Toronto is a complete vibe these days. Fingers crossed the Skydome roof is open for all of the games like it was for my trip last year.
• Spain – The big trip will be an offseason jaunt over to Spain. We’ve previously been to Madrid and Seville so this trip we’ll focus on Barcelona and perhaps San Sebastian, Bilbao, Valencia, or maybe even into the south of France.
