Is such deep snow typical for the lake in april, or it was only this year?
It is pretty normal for that time of year. This was from mid April. There were a number of places we wanted to visit but couldn’t get to because roads wouldn’t open until sometime in May.
It is quite amazing to me. I live in Eurasia about 5 degrees north of Lake Louise, and here the snow is a little in April.
